(More customer reviews)Anyone purchasing these switchlinc device should be aware that they consume 3-5 watt continuously even in the off state.That would be about 35 kwh (kilowatt-hours) per year per switchlinc device.I have had more than a dozen of the switchlinc relay V2 devices installed for the past several years.While they work most of the time, they occasionally get into a "jabber" situation with the data being sent continuously between the devices which renders the whole system inoperative until all the devices are power cycled.This problem occurs after small power line transients (recorded with a power line monitoring instrument) which do not affect other electronic equipment.

Broan/Nutone Replacement Range Hood Filter (LL62F) Review

(More customer reviews)The replacement filters are fine. They a little flimsier than the orignal filters I had but seem to do the job.

The mailing of the filters took a little longer than I expected but did arrive within 10 business days. At over $12, the shipping and handling was more that the cost of a filter.

All that being said, this is one of the few places that actually stocks the filters and they provide good service and excellent updates as to the status of the order.

(More customer reviews)I installed the unit in the crawl-space above a new washer/dryer hook-up.
Reason:
The distance of the vent hose was about 20 feet.I was using a "Y" 4" PVC pipe fitting to tie in with an existing 4 inch bathroom vent hose.
Pros:
- Wiring a regular on and off switch was easy.
- The unit has excellent draw, zero moist air backs-ups into the room.
- The mounting brackets were very handy to secure to the studs.
- It's very quiet, this was a concern as it is a rental unit and there is a shared wall 12 inches from the unit.
- The unit has no noticable vibration, very important when installing in a ceiling.
Cons:
- I wish the unit had an auto-sensor to turn-on once air pressure from the dryer hit it; for the price, I think this would not be too much to ask.
Concerns:
- I hope it lasts a long time as getting into the crawl-space to replace or repair the unit would be a nightmare now that my teneants have moved in.

I didn't buy the unit because it was the cheapest, I bought this model because it looked well designed.

(More customer reviews)Used this fan as a duct booster fan for the bonus room over my garage.The 40' of 12x8 duct just didn't let enough air get to the room, unless I closed down on all the dampers upstairs, and then it took forever to heat upstairs.

HVAC specialists will say that a booster fan is just a bandaide, but it was much cheaper then putting in 40' of 16x8 duct, and it works great. I used sound mounts and the isolation collars, and I can't even hear the fan when standing directly below it.It supplies more then enough air to feed 3 7" ducts.I am very happy.

Be sure you buy the "Stabilizing/Mounting Clamps For Rigid Duct Work", which are neoprene lined collars to make installation easy, and to provide sound damping to prevent transmitting vibration to your rigid ducting.
